The operation: liposuction, preparation & injection

The operation consists of three steps and is usually performed under local anesthesia with sedation, and in some cases under general anesthesia. It lasts approximately 1-2 hours in total.

Fat extraction using fat-preserving VASER® technology

A special fluid solution consisting of saline, anesthetics, and other active ingredients is injected into the fat tissue through fine cannulas to loosen the tissue. The fat tissue is then gently liquefied using modern, fat-preserving VASER® ultrasound technology. This gentle procedure can help maintain the vitality of the extracted fat cells – an advantage especially for potential reuse, such as in the context of fat grafting.

Preparation of the extracted cells

In a sterile procedure, the extracted fat is centrifuged and separated from liquid, blood, and oil. This way, the purified, intact cells are prepared for injection into the breast.

Injection into the breast

Through only a few millimeter-sized punctures in the inframammary fold, around the areola, or at the sides of the breast, the fat graft is evenly injected into the breast tissue using fine cannulas.
